Heidi’s career is all about her patients.
Heidi Nash
Physical Therapist II
How long have you been at Vidant Medical Center?
“I’ve worked as a Physical Therapist here for 12 years. My goal is to be the best PT I can be and to grow in my profession.”
Why Allied Health?
“My mom required the services of a PT. And I like the idea of helping someone get back something they have lost.”
Why Allied Health here?
“We have to think differently. We see some very unusual cases at Vidant Medical Center and we have to think outside of the box to better serve them and give what they need. I feel the culture here is much like a family. It’s a great place to learn.”
What’s the best part of your day?
“Having the privilege of seeing/helping someone do something they haven’t been able to do in a long time –
whether it’s walking, going up and down stairs, getting in and out of a car, or being able to tolerate their foot on the floor. It’s also rewarding to be able to take a patient outside for
the first time in a long time and let them feel the sunshine.”
Any parting thoughts?
“I can’t imagine doing anything else. I have often thought about what else I could do and besides staying at home with my kids – I have not been able to come up with anything else.”
